Open Back Cover of Sony Ericsson Xperia Play R800
There is a camera on the rear facing of Xperia Play. It's a 5 Megapixels camera, and just above the camera, it's the LED Flash light. Let's say that the side upward of the Camera and LED is the rear-top side of the cover and of course the other side is bottom side. On the bottom side, there is a gap / cave between the rear cover and phone's body.

To open / remove the cover, insert your fingertip or fingernail into this bottom side gap (you can use similar to the picture tutorial above with the middle finger or anything you like) then grip and lift the cover up until the cover is somehow produces a "breaking sound". That's not real-break, but the sound that the cover is being detached from the body. Don't worry. Now, continue to remove the cover until the cover fully opened.
Attaching back the cover should be easy, just aling the cover with the phone body, then from rear-top side attach the cover with the latch, and continue press it to the downside until the cover is completely attached.
Inserting and Removing SIM Card on Sony Ericsson Xperia Play R800
The locations for SIM card slot is about the SAME with the location of Memory Card slot. It indeed can be said that it uses the same exact locations but in different "floor" or level: Ground floor and 1st floor. And for the SIM card slot, it uses the ground floor.

With gold-colored contacts facing down, with cut-corner of the SIM on the outside (see the image above), slide and push the SIM card until its placed properly on the slot. Whenever you can't push further into the slot, that means you reach the end of the slot and you've done well.
For removing the SIM card, there is a 1/4 of the SIM that on the "outer" of the slot. Use your fingertip to press and slide the SIM card out form the slot and then you can easily draw the SIM out.
Inserting and Removing the microSD External Memory Card on Sony Ericsson Xperia Play R800
The memory card slot on Xperia Play locate on the "first floor" (pictured). To insert the microSD card to its slot, just make sure the card's gold-contacts facing down aka the logo facing up, then slide it and push it into the slot until it locks.

To remove the Memory, you CAN'T just directly slide it out from the slot. You MUST UNLOCKED first. To unlock the Memory card, PUSH the card against the slot, the RELEASE it. Whenever the microSD pop out from the slot, that means the card is unlocked. Then, you can draw it out.
