Sony Xperia SL LT26ii Open Cover, Insert micro SIM, Hard Reset

Personally, after looking a kind of answer on the internet what the meaning of SL on this Sony Xperia SL, we have to say that we don't know the reason Sony choose this letter combination. We also don't understand why the smartphone which designed on 4.3 inches touch bar and has high camera resolution at 12 Megapixel choose the LT26ii as its series name. So forget about it. You don't need to know those kind of information though. You are here, we sure, to looking some answer regarding with Xperia SL SIM, Cover or Resetting explanation.

But, we are not gonna give you a tutorial on how you can insert the external memory card on this device. Whatever you try to search this kind of guidance, I bet, you'll never ever able to find it. It's because the Sony Xperia XL LT26ii didn't have any external microSD card slot on their architecture. The reason behind this? It's just an option. If you wanna have a phone with memory card slot, just choose another one: Sony Xperia J would be good for you.

Hold the body of Xperia SL with your both hands, and make sure the rear facing is seen. Grab with tip of your both thumbs on the back cover casing firmly then slide it to the north (heading to the camera direction; see the image below). Now after you able to remove the back cover, you'll see the microSIM card slot right below the 12 Megapixels camera with its LED Flash light.

Please, do a little attention on the type of your mobile provider sim card that you wanna insert in Xperia LT26ii. Globally, it uses microSIM type, but it's not limited in other version for special regional or provider carrier, the standard SIM or mini SIm is used. Inserting the micro SIM can be don form the top open slot. Just slide it into the card slot with your tip of finger until it reaches slot end. Remember that you had to make sure the gold-colored contacts is facing down and the cut-edge al in proper position (see the figure above).

Replace back the back cover can be done by the opposite way on removing it. Align the cover from the top of the back body, the slide it from the top to the bottom of the rear panel of the phone. Make sure it reaches the bottom end. The back cover would lock automatically whenever it reach the end. If it locked properly, you might hear a "creak" sound.

Factory / Hard Reset on Sony Xperia SL LT26ii


Meanwhile, to do Factory Reset on this phone, just go to Settings > Choose Backup & reset > Factory data reset > Reset phone > Erase everything. But in case you just wanna reset the setting after Backup & reset Choose Settings Reset > Reset phone > Reset setting.

Doing Factory / Hard Reset would cause all the saved data and information like documents, photos, videos be erased. Backup first before you wannad perform it.

Turn the Sony Xperia SL on can be don by press the Power key with your thumb or finger and hold it until the phone vibrates. That's all you had to do. For the location of Power key see the figure that we share above (Top side of the phone body).

    1. It could be that you have inserted the wrong SIM type (wrong data network provide or wrong on microSIM type). Just a guess though.
